  • Set both aside while preparing the dressing.

Step 3: Make The Tangy Dressing

  • Whisk thoroughly until everything is well combined and the sugar and salt are evenly distributed.

  • Add optional crisp wonton strips just before serving.
  • Serve chilled or slightly cool.

Notes

  • 🥕 Use Fresh Carrots: Choose firm, bright-orange carrots for the best natural sweetness, colour, and satisfying crunch.
  • 🔪 Julienne Evenly: Cut the carrots into thin, similar-sized strips so they absorb the dressing evenly and create a beautiful texture.
  • 🫚 Use Fresh Ginger: Freshly grated ginger gives the salad a brighter, more aromatic flavour than dried ginger.
  • 🧄 Mince The Garlic Finely: Finely minced garlic distributes its savoury flavour throughout the dressing without creating overpowering bites.
  • 🍚 Allow Time To Marinate: Refrigerate the salad for at least 6 hours, or preferably overnight, to allow the carrots to absorb the sweet and tangy dressing.
  • 🌿 Add Garnishes Last: Sprinkle over fresh coriander, sesame seeds, and optional wonton strips just before serving to keep the toppings fresh and crunchy.
  • 🧊 Keep It Chilled: Store the finished salad in an airtight container in the refrigerator and toss gently before serving.
